Microsoft has recently announced that organizations using Calling Plan as their PSTN solution in Microsoft Teams are now required to submit documentation to verify their company’s identity. KYC is designed to protect you from fraud and unwanted spam and robot calls and more.

Important Information Regarding Identity Verification for Microsoft Teams Calling Plan Users

• Ensure you are using your company email address (not a personal one) during the submission process.

• The information provided in the forms and documents must match exactly.

• Submitted documents must be no older than 12 months.

• This is a one-time verification process.

The vetting process typically takes anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on your location and the quality of the supporting documents.

Please note: You will not be able to acquire new phone numbers until the verification process is complete.
